I'd make sure the throttle butterfly's are set properly then make sure the mechanical advance is working properly as well as the vacuum advance and that the engine is firing on all 12 cyl's and all 12 injectors are "clicking" also check all vacuum connections as well as the x-over pipe. Believe me you'd be surprised how hard it is to tell it's not running on all cyl's. I'd also download Kirby Palms book and browse through it just to get some general insight on things and common faults with these cars. Hope that helps, I'm sure others will chime in.

My first guess would be the throttle linkage bushes are either toast or missing. These are located on the opposite end of the shaft from the throttle body, this shaft goes into a bracket mounted on the plenum this bracket should have bushes in it that hold the end of the shaft.

I had this same problem my bushes were missing. This allows the TB butterfly to close slightly as you touch the throttle

The last thing you need is injector cleaner. The first thing is to clean and set your throttles, make sure the throttle linkage is adjusted properly and the bushings are intact. Also check TPS operation and adjustment.

What they said: But your TPS (throttle position sensor) may have a bad spot in it too...
