My xjs will be historic in May. When I apply does the car need to have been taxed up to that point, and does it need to have a final MOT at the point of historic. Plz

You may want to include what country, and Star (if applicable) you will have this car registered in. This kinda thing varies country to country, and in the US case, state by state. Even then; there are local jurisdictions that may still have requirements on your historic car.

I would Google the information you need. You need information based on where YOU have the car registered.
