I need to replace the temp gage on a 94 xjs. How do I go about removing instrument cluster?

 

Not trying to be a smart @#$@ but you just start unscrewing things. There is no magic release button.

 

Middle of the top black trim has a small screw, undo that and the trim will come away. also either side of the dash in the top corner it has a cover that needs to come off. Undo the two screws under there and be carful folding the cluster down as you need to unplug the 2 connecter cables. Best is to lower the steering wheel down as far as it will go and put a cloth on it.
