Default insultation/heat hood liner for 94 XJS

The current hood liner on my XJS is looking terrible and falling apart. Ive seen the hood insulation liners you can buy in Amazon in which you cut to your specifications. I was wanting to find a company that has a fitted one for your particular vehicle. Does anyone know of such a thing?

I've been looking for one for years. Seems it may be a money making project for someone to reproduce these as just about every XJS I've seen could use a new one. Good luck and let us know if you find one.

Yes please let us know. I need one too, but don’t currently have an inclination to remove what is there and make a pattern etc etc.

THERE WAS A GUY IN THE STATES WHO supplied aircraft quality fire proof sound deadening, but I believe he died so I don't know if someone picked up the pieces, they wernt tailored, and had to be cut to fit, they only had a hole in them where the throttle pedestal goes, it wouldn't be hard to do bearing that in mind.
this is a link to what was his post, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...A%2A%2A-84341/

Purchase some closed cell vinyl nitrile sheets, 1/4” will work, 3/8” would probably work as well. eBay sells them.

Use 3M #80 spray adhesive. Don’t use any other adhesive. It’s found at the big box stores.

It’s easy to cut and simple to apply.
