I wish I had an XJR-S to go and photograph for you, but, this is what the interwebs came up with
Picture 3 - eBay Find: V12-engined, ex-press fleet Jaguar XJR-S
It appears the plastic moulding fits around the rubber bumper.
I'd be interested to hear how you get on fitting them.
It's an idea I've toyed with a few times myself.

It looks like the bumper layout was a bit different in the US than the UK, perhaps due to regulations.
The UK version did not have the black bumper protruding.
