As bulbs have been burning out, I have been upgrading to
LED. So far the only bulbs that won't work are the set of
20 bulbs above the tach.

I began with the trip computer. I put in the cool white LED
bulbs and it looked great! No more heat!!! But it only
came in Indiglo Blue...that didn't match anything.

I then bought a sheet of theater lighting gel in saffron. I
slipped the sheet in between the display and the bulbs and
presto, color matches!

I moved on to the power seat buttons on the door. Trimming
up more of the sheet did not work. There were too many
bumps and holes to contend with. I was going to give up...

THEN I found Vitrea 160 Glass Paint at Michaels craft store
for $4.99 a bottle in Saffron Yellow (02). I painted the
bulbs and guess what...they look pretty damn good. I think
it could have used a second coat, but I doubt any passenger
would notice they are slightly bluer, but not much.

If you're looking to upgrade to LED, I recommend the cool
white from LED Lights & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS

I'm sure others would work, but that's where I've been
ordering them from.
