Default Check rear lights message

Is there a way to de- activate this message, I upgraded the lights to LED.

Sounds like you got the wrong leds!?!?


You need the can bus compatible leds, I believe these have a resistor built into them.

The lamp current detect is a hardware circuit in the various modules that light lamps, and AFAIK, you could only deactivate it by cutting the leads on the boards. The better method is to install load resistors in parallel with the bulbs so that the correct current is still being drawn. If you can't find properly sized load resisitors from the LED lamp guys, then you need to find the current draw of the original bulbs and use Ohm's law to calculate the required resistor for each circuit.

The bulbs are can bus bulbs, just checked with the manufacturer and he said for my car I will still need resistors.

CAN bus bulbs, huh? I strongly suggest you do not take ANY technical advice from that guy! I mean it! That is absurd and one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.
