Question LH Intake Vacuum Nipples

1995 V12 6.0 US. Been working on my inop cruise control. I found the vacuum line for the cruise control bellows connected to the forward most nipple on the bottom of the LH intake manifold. Question is, what should be connected to that nipple, or should it be blocked off?

Thanks,
Rick L.

When you say bottom, do you mean bottom, bottom? Underside?

On my 1990 5.3, the intake spout that is in the underside of the RH intake has what I would guess is a 3/16ths section of hose, maybe a foot to a foot and a half long, connected to a silverish canister looking thing with two wires coming off of it - this is a supplement valve for when the AC is on. Then, on the front of the RH intake, front meaning the face closest to the radiator, is a simple spout that goes a short distance to feed the vac to the CC solenoids...

Have a picture of what you're looking at? If you are not using CC or the AC spouts on the intake, yes, they must be blocked to ever get idle and proper air feed right. All vac leaks need be dealt with.

Yes, underside where the air cleaner connects, and it is the LH intake manifold.

Thanks,
Rick L.

This might help... Snapped a few pictures for another problem... You don't want your coolant line to look like that but you can see the yellow vacuum lines pretty clearly.

Yes. No matter where the steering wheel is, the correct side or the wrong side , right and left are determined by the driver sitting in the drivers seat.

Thanks for the pics. My car is a 1995 V12 6.0 US. The pictures appear to be of a 5.3. And the nipple I am talking about is on the underside of the LH intake manifold.

I ended up blocking it off with a vacuum cap because I couldn't find any unattached vacuum hoses. I started the engine and it fired right up and idled perfectly. Haven't been able to drive it yet because I have the drivers seat out to work on another issue.

Thanks again,
Rick L.
