IMO, lumps only have parts value and if I wanted a Corvette I'd buy a Corvette.

Based on the description, I'd say he'd have tough time moving it at $1,700, much less $17,000.

Am I missing something?

I just don't understand how some people come up with these prices. Just a few minutes of research would have shown him what kind of value a car like that has in the present market.

If he does not get real on his price then he is going to own that car for a very long time.

Well, it sold for $2,500...for a car that runs, but is not operational, whatever that means.

So a baseline has been established.
