Default Location of Jack + Lug Wrench?

I searched but only came up with threads about where to place the jack.

I'm looking for where the jack and lug wrench are stored. The owner's manual doesn't mention it, I looked behind all the panels in the trunk (this is on a coupe), but I can't find the jack and lug wrench. Am I missing something obvious (it's a good possibility) or did a previous owner loose it (another good possibility)?

my 91 had it in a bag in the trunk that looked like it was made out of the same carpet that's in the trunk

Most likely stored in a cloth bag that matches the trunk (boot) liner and is stored in one of the two pockets on either side of the trunk. If you have looked there it is gone. They are not hard to find but V12 cars have an extra tool that 6 CYL do not rec. Good luck.

Looks like someone absconded with mine. I usually keep a breaker bar + matching socket in the trunk and I'll just use an old jack I have laying about.

Thanks everyone!

Thorsen,

In my view, you're much better off using a proper trolley jack and axle stand and a decent socket and long ratchet. I really wouldn't want to use the standard Jaguar items unless I absolutely had to. I keep a small trolley jack in the boot of the car for emergencies.

Good luck

Paul

Hi Thorsen,

Agree with all the above regarding position of jack bag. I would also be very wary of lifting on the official jacking points unless you are very sure of the structure of the car as they rely very heavily on the integrity of the metal work they are attached to inside the body structure.

Cheers,
LeeP

mine has always been in the right rear fender, between the tail light and the battery/convertible top pump
