but examining it ,i see no difference than the Haynes XJ/XJS manual, if my opinion Haynes is easier to read and understand.

Lots of choices. here is a sampling
1975 to 1991 Jaguar XJS Parts and Service Manual on CD ROM Used | eBay
(^^^ this early version might not play well with your computer)
Jaguar XJS Repair Shop Manual Book All 1976 95 XJS 5 3 6 0 V12 Models New | eBay
Parts catalogs are useful as well:

I just didn't want OP or anyone who stumble across the thread in the future to think that there are no better manuals than the Haynes manual in thinking that those little green books are somehow the more official publication.

Just wanted to say, these more common manuals definitely are very similar to the Haynes manual. I don't know the publisher but these are NOT official Jaguar manuals you would find in a repair shop. Those books range from 4-6 binders depending on the year and model. You did just say service manual, which is vague, so maybe you didn't mean to imply that these were Jag manuals, but the term service manual threw me off.

Original Jaguar XJS Service Manual Set Volume 1 5 JJM 10 04 06 20 | eBay
A bit hard to find....that is, a bit hard to find at a good price.
I have pal with an XJS and the car came with a full set, virtually unused. Very nice! Last time I saw it I'd say the books were probably worth more the car .
The "little green books" are essentially just excerpts from the multi-volume sets. They *do* contain official Jaguar repair information although the presentation can be a bit cobbled. The ones I have, which are 10+ years old, say "Published by Jaguar Cars" and carry Jaguar part numbers. Nowadays someone else might be reprinting them.
The Haynes are, in essence, excerpts from the excerpts. I think they're the pits, personally. The info is just too condensed.
The little green books are an excellent compromise. Combined with the parts catalog, the S57 wiring guide, and the S58 engine performance manual, you're pretty much good to go.
I have a cd with all the XJS tech bulletins for the 80s vintage cars. That's a bonus...not essential. more curiosity items than anything else.
Also worth having are the Delanair training/repair guides.
Some of these additional publications are downloadable right from the JF pages
