lowering/cutting coils
Has anybody had and luck with cutting the front coils to fit the springs mine is sitting sky high wjth my lowering springs aftee the ac removal and trans swap
The JAg uses square end springs - these are NOT recommended to be cut. The only springs that can safely be cut down are tangential as these sit in a profiled spring seat.
Cutting the spring will also stiffen the further. As you have installed stiffer springs these will be then stiffer again.
Did you remove the packing spacers?
If so I would space the lower spring seat down from the wishbone, using longer high tensile bolts 3/8 UNF. 10mm will lower the car about 25-30mm.
