I have mine positioned right on the edge as well. Unlike yours, mine looks to be at the edge of its adjustment (see double yellow arrows). I might take it off, clean it up and see if I can get it to clamp tighter.

The leak is coming from the small gap (see single arrow), which I think would be closed if I could get the clap to tighten properly.

I’ve had a look at a new clamp, and there’s none of that part number, so will measure things up and go aftermarket. Any other ideas are welcome.

N Bath,

I would try the following:

- Remove the clamp
- Separate the pipes, clean the mating surfaces
- Reassemble with exhaust paste
- Cut up a tin can or similar and fit an open band on the outside of the pipe before fitting the clamp, enabling you to tighten the clamp down more on the pipes

Good luck

Paul

I tried for a good while to remove the exhaust clamp, until I had a really good look at it, and realised it was spot welded to the outer exhaust pipe. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not, but there you go.

So I took a 0.5mm piece of stainless steel, and cut two 32mm (width of the clamp) strips that I placed in between the clamp and the pipe. Then I could tighten the clamp up and compress the outer pipe properly. I’ve not tested it out yet, ran out of time.
