Default Master cylinder replacement/upgrade?

I have a question for you guys.

are there any other Master cylinders to replace my OEM one with?
I remember reading and I cannot find the post that "IcsAmerica"
when he redid his brakes and used another master cylinder from another car.
he said it gave better feel and the thing was very reliable.

I have replaced this once about two years ago and my brakes are still pretty mushy and the thing leaks. kind of looking for a better feel and one that doesn't leak. i'm going to replace the whole front end brakes rotors, calipers and all.

anyone have any suggestions.....

my 78 XJS had a cast iron MC,heavy weight!

went to advance auto, and they/we started looking at MCs ,found an Aluminum one fit a Ford pickup truck, same as Jag but lighter and new!

seems that some jag Mc can do away with the remote resivoir, and a Mitsubishi push on res. will fit, but dont know the number!

I just checked it. thanks for the info. I can't wait to try this.

Before I read the post I ordered one from a 93...
You said there was fitting issues with the 93? and the 97 fit great. what where those issues?
If its just enlarging the holes easy stuff.
