Default mounting an updated stereo / radio

I'm planning to replace the original radio with an updated system. One challenge is the mounting opening in the Jag faceplate is 1/4 inch larger and 3/8 inch wider than the standard new heads. What is normally done to fill in the gap? I know I've seen someone on here that has done it.

I installed a Jensen with BT etc, it came with a clip on surround that covered the opening.

I installed a Pioneer head unit and it came with a clip on surround to cover the gap as well. I imagine all head units come with one.

Thanks to all. The Retro Manufacturing units are beyond my budget. Crutchfield has a lot of equipment at decent prices. I haven't looked at Jensen. I'll add them to the list. I'll order a unit and see what I get. Go from there. I found some trim rings on line but they don't give exact dimensions. You'd think that would be important information. It may be I'm just not familiar with the standards DIN VS ISO.

Just a point for those not in the US of A. Here they use a different frequency spacing and though European radios will work, l believe you miss a few stations.

Very good point malc.... I had this when I brought a car from Japan who use 76-90Mhz FM where in Australia the FM band is 88-108Mhz (same as USA IIRC) so I had to replace a very good Alpine head unit.
