My 1985 XJS coupe has a broken door handle on the driver's
side. Does anyone have a spare? This is my everyday car so I
would like to replace this as soon as possible.

I am in Fort Collins Colorado now.

A right side door handle is the passenger's side. Not the one I need. I already checked Ebay to see if I could find one there. The one shown as "Right Drivers Outside Door Handle" is definitely NOT a driver's side handle.

 

Craigslist can be a good place to find people breaking Jags.

There are a few I've seen in California, but I usually stay focused on the facelifts.

You should Google a "Craigslist Search" and do a national search. It will take you awhile since I don't exactly know what to put in the search window? (I used SearchTempest)

There's a guy in NC who's parting out old Jags as well.

It's out there, it'll just take you a Sunday's worth of effort to find it...hey, guess what tomorrow is?!?

If all else fails, everyone here seems to like Grublogger. I'm assuming you've already tried Pauls Jaguar, Welsh, Coventry West, etc.

BTW, I have now seen very poorly made/designed broken door
handles from XJ40 cars and now XJS cars and I am positive I
would have fired with extreme prejudice the guy who designed
these door handles out of this junk pot metal and expected
these damn small cross sections around critical joints to
hold up over time.
