Default Need Radiator

The verdict is in, I need a new radiator. I had my radiator shop buddy take a look at it and it's showing its age. Original with 1990 date tag. His price for a re-core is gonna be so close to a new one that I might as well buy new. I would like to go back with original copper and brass, or is that gold and platinum?

Has anybody bought one recently? If so where? I know it's gonna be expensive, so now I'm looking for good service.

Thanks!

I found the price for aluminum was only about 100 more so that is what I got. Never looked back!

Where did you end up getting it. On the advice of my radiator guy I am leaning towards the brass and copper due to the the aluminums being kinda fragile. I don't know a lot about radiators, but, I have never been given a bum steer by my buddy.

That said, I am open to suggestions and the opinions of others. Everybody please feel free to chime in.

I want to say I got it from John's Cars but I didn't see it on his website. It's a Wizzard built radiator. As for fragility, the only issue I have had was when I was removing it from my 88 to put into my 90 I accidentally scraped the fins and had to epoxy the minor pin holes that resulted. I also run coolant filters as well. It's a huge difference in weight and cooling efficiency.

I'll check out Wizzards site. Be Cool also makes an XJS specific aluminum that's available through Summit and Jegs.
