Hi everyone,
I'm new here and just bought a 1990 XJS convertible. It's black on black with 48k on it. This has been my dream car for many a year and I can't say how happy I am to finally have bought one. The 10k price on it was a bit higher than I wanted to go but there is something to be said about getting the exact car that you want.
The body is rust free, the interior is near perfect, and the engine runs cool and smooth. There has been some problems I'm working on to get it road worthy though. The rear brake rotors were toast and so were the rear brakes. I ended up dropping the IRS and replaced both rotors along with new differential seals. The caliper pistons were sticking a bit so I rebuilt both rear calipers. I also noticed the transmission mount spool was gone so I replaced that also. I'm not a mechanic but an avid DIY'er so this has been quite the task so far. Hopefully by this weekend I'll have the brakes hooked back up and can actually drive it.

Here are some quick pics I took with my phone when I first picked up the car. I also posted them in the new members area. My original post was supposed to have a pic but I must have done something wrong. Hopefully I'll have some time to get better pictures next week with my good camera. Thanks for the warm welcome!
