Default Oh man, this baby started at $12K

I've seen it go 11k, 10k, 8k, Now 6k.
The first time she saw Paulylings "Blue Goose" her indoors fell in love with it. This baby is screaming out to take "Fireball's" garage space. If I had a lazy 6k and a car port it would be here now. 230k/ km ...........who cares............ if it is as good as the pics.
She is weakening at the knees, but we have nowhere for it. I may have posted this before, but at 10k we were going to have a look and just ran out of time.

I just want one

5k and I might weaken and sell the Bonneville.

Do you reckon "No offers" means he won't negotiate? It has been for sale 11 months now, I have the upper hand I think.
If it had he quad headlights it would already be in my garage, they look the best.(I think a US add on but I love them)

They always do it for me!

And if I could afford it, I would treat Clarke to this baby and that's not another April fools joke either!

You have to have a V12 XJS at some point in your Jaguar life. This looks like a great way to get one for not a lot of $$.

My car is in distinctly average condition, and it has taken an age, and a lot of $$ to get it to average condition, but out of all the cars, it is the one I would sell last........ the ultra low mileage XJ40 and the DB9 would go first before my exceedingly average XJS..... such is the hold these cars have on you

Life is too short...... got see it at least. I agree, counting out cash on the hood is usually a good negotiating strategy.

Default Jumping up and down excited

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!!!

What time you picking me up for a look? Ha ha ha.

But wow. White is always nice for the XJS. Coach stripe looks intact and sporting a growler...good start. Gold badge variant too.

Man i remember this one for sale ages ago. As I learnt from when I bought mine last year, miles on the odometer aint everything so I wouldn't worry too much. More so how it was looked after etc as the pros here will tell ya. Pretty big price drop. I wonder if it will get snapped up pretty quickly now?

Man this could get interesting...

Bugger, travelled 700 km south (wrong direction) today in the XJ6. We discussed it while driving and her indoors said I should buy it. We were going to go have a look Tuesday when we finish this 2000km /4 day road trip .

Well guess it saves the parking problem.

Should have gone up there this morning and pulled the trigger.

I wish I could tell you it is in my garage.

So many times I have scored a bargain by rocking up with the folding and making a rediculous offer. If I wasn't headed for the mother in laws for Easter today it may well have been mine.

Say it isn't so! Clarke

I am gutted for you, I paid more than that for an XJS that is now one of my scrappers and since you had 'Her Indoors' onside, you were more than halfway there!

o1xjr, did you happen to save pics of the car? Ad has been pulled and the photos are no longer available.

Also (thread hijack), what kind of bike do you ride? 2000 Honda VFR 800 / Interceptor in bright yellow here. Never thought I'd own such a flashy vehicle but it was love at first sight. Looking to add a 6th generation to the stable soon.

You have the magical blessing of the Mrs "ok". Tis rare for 1 Jag but 2? Well that is like all the planets aligning and the moon turning blue....well in my neck of the woods anyway lol!

Yep, she was all for it and keeping the bike to boot! She said why would you get rid of your bike?
It would have become her daily since I sold her Mazda 3 earlier this year and she is using the Jeep. I think it being her car was the winning ticket.

Only this pic, there were only two pics in the add,the other was a rear angle.

I ride a 2001 Bonneville T100. You can see it in my albums.

I thought the planets were aligning when I could have 2 Jags and keep my bike too.
Not so much a hunt, just a keen eye on the local market. I have been watching this one for close to a year now. Price only dropped to 6k about an hour before I started this thread.
I had the add tagged on Gumtree for email notification if the add was edited.(not really watching(lol).

The only way I can get my Mrs interested is if i bought her a convertible XK8 or R or.....
F-Type.

Mmmm......F-Type, she must think I am a Wall Street stock broker and have a private chopper to go to the showroom and pay in gold bullion also

But the Xk8 though....mmmmm......if i can get one void of the whole plastic tensioner issues they had. I think that issue was sorted around 1999 onwards wasn't it?

Whoops, didnt mean to hijack the thread

Clarke: XJS!!

You don't want to be a Stock Broker Bro, you might have to take a Pay Cut!

Sorry Clarke

Just trying to lighten the mood.
