I've read several times that the worst oil available today is better then the best oil available 10 years ago. Don't know how much I buy into that but I'm sure there's a little truth in there. People get WAY to wrapped around the axle over oil brands, types, viscosities. Go over to bobtheoilguy if you really want to wade into the oil pool, they dissect it every which way you can. Mind numbing.

At one point there was quite a heated discussion about the best way of storing an opened jug of oil that was to be used for future top offs. I'm sure the Mona Lisa doesn't have as many precautions and procedures as was recommended for the $2. worth of oil.
