I just realized that my rear sway bar is missing completely, some @$%@$ must have taken it out before I got the car. If someone has entire assembly, I'd be interested.

the v12 has no rear sway bar...
much of the weight is up front and that is where it needs it. If you put a rear sway bar on you should also want to make the front one stiffer or the rear one will kind of "counteract" the front one. You'll find the car breaking away more suddenly
I've heard early cars do have rear sways but yours is an HE

The pre-HE cars did have the rear bar, yes, until about 1980. Then it was deleted, and remained deleted on the HEs. It then reappeared a few years later on the HEs with the "Sportspack" option....or at least some of them. The Sportspack specification seems to vary a bit from market-to-market and year-to-year.

Mish, my car is like yours from this point of view. In my view adding a rear antil roll bar will not improve the car at all from any point of view. I believe that the best way to improve the V12 rear end cornering is to increase the negative camber of the rear wheels, and make quite sure that the ride height is not higher than it should be. There are shims in the driveshaft where the shaft bolts up to the diff/disc. Pull some out and see what you think. It absolutely transformed my car. Anywhere between 0.50° and 0.75° negative is good, basically the more the better up to 1.0°. All the racers over in the UK do this.

I had a 3.6 coupe with the ARB, and the rear was awfull. I removed the ARB and dialled in the negative camber, and voilà as my french mates say. Better ride, better grip, better traction out of corners.

I agree, aggressive camber is on my todo list as well. I am planning to remove one of 2 shims on each side.

Mild, Mish, mild. Aggressive is 2.5° or more as on F1 car front wheels!
