Hi all, working on my v12 convertible which has the interior stripped out the passenger side window is playing up. I've put power from a battery straight to the plug and it will only move up or down about an inch. It is currently in the down position. Any suggestions to what it may be? The car has been unused for some time before I got it.Any help gratefully accepted. Many thanks

 

Check the window runners first, they could be bent, miss-aligned or just dirty. Once you have inspected/fixed any visible issues lubricate them Silicone spray.

If they still do not work pull the window lift mechanism out of the door and test it.

 

Agree. You may need to loosen the runner at the bottom to see where the binding is !!
