Default pininfarina decal

I found some pininfarina decals in my file cabinet which were suppose to go on a spider project I used to have. Anyway I was wondering about what you guys would think of one being placed on my facelift car. The trunk is badgeless so that looks a good place. Perhaps somewhere on the fenders. The decals are about 8" across. I really wanna do it just for fun. I'll try it this weekend and post pics

Might be cool...have to see pics.

I was actually thinking of making some brass emblems for mine. My '92 has plastic emblems on the trunklid, faded and they look cheap as hell. While I was in my chopper building mode, I came across this in a chopper forum:

TECH: Making Your Own BRASS TAGS - BRASS ETCHING at HOME! - Main Forum

Never made any for my bike, but filed this away for future reference. Might be cool to cook up some brass jaguar emblems for my car.

What's the connection between Pininfarina and a production XJS?

mine is die cast metal, and porcilain glass, held on with 2 SS screws,

no glue on this one, English style.

the Union Jack at its best!

Pininfarina was instrumental in the redesign of the series III XJ6, I don't know of a connection to the XJS.

yup, that's what I came up with too, with a little googling. (honestly, I was unaware that Pininfarina had ever collaborated with Jaguar prior to this coming-up)

so.... the question is: why would one put Pininfarina badges on a non-Pininfarina car?
