Default Pipework from wiper area drainage.

Can anyone tell me if the drainage pipes that come from the wiper motor housing area into the engine bay then go into a grommet in the inner wing Finnish there? Or is there another pipe into the grommet from the wheel side. I can't recall if I took one off or not and it doesn't seem ideal to let water run down the inner wing? Thanks for any help.

The rubber comes out from the wiper area, then there is a metal pipe, then another rubber hose the goes into the fender. It lets out just over the rear top A-arm. This is totally acceptable because its the inside fender that sees all the water and filth kicked up by the tires anyway.

While you are in this wheelarch area, take a look at the strengthener in the wheelarch, the piece of steel that runs vertically to the hole for the top of the shocker. As you probably know, water gets behind this piece and rots through the sheet steel, so a hole appears in the engine bay. Once all fixed, I carefully rust-treated and then carefully using top grade 3M seam sealer, sealed up the join top to bottom each side, between the strengthener and the wheelarch panel. With luck this will stop future water ingress.
