Default Programming remotes on 94-96 XJS video

Hello guys!!

I made this video on how to program the remotes on a 94-96 XJS with alarm module Dpp 1050 on the US or Dpp 1051 in the UK. I tried to make it a clean as I could but I am not a professional, so please excuse my errors.

Couple of disclosures, I am not responsible for damage to yourself or your vehicle. This is just a video of how I have programmed my car and how many others have done it as well:

Mark,
Excellent video with good information. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Unfortunately I won't be able to use it on my car as I found out that the remote I was trying to program is not the correct one for my car. I really did not need it but it would have been nice to have a spare "just in case"!

Take care,

Bob (Spillwaybob)

Used your video to program my '96 keyless. Worked like a charm after I figured out that the switch I used was a push-button on/off and not on/off per push. Thanks!!!

As for remote compatibility, the one I bought had the following info:
1993 1994 1995 Jaguar XJ6 XJS Fob Remote
G57JTX318
DBC10084 318MHZ
DOC/MOC 1808 K1006

I did exactly like your video, but my 94 will not go into the program mode. When I disconnect the battery and reconnect, I hear the chirp but I cannot get the car to go into the program mode! HELP!

Disconnecting the battery has nothing to do with programming the remote.
Keep keep trying because it does take multiple times to get it to enter programming mode. You have to do it just right. Based on your model year you should have the switch installed from the factory whereas I had to add mine. Try increasing the number of times you flip the switch each time. Do one extra flip or one less and see if that helps.

BENJ628...You were right on! I increased the flipping of switch to about 10 times (instead of the mentioned 5) and the car went into the program mode. My new replacement FOB now works perfectly. FWIW, I bought it on EBAY for only $13.71 with free shipping. Thanks sincerely for reaching out!

The viewing for your video is set to private. You will need to change that setting on YouTube for everyone else to be able to see it.

You can sometimes see them on Ebay. First you must know the frequency of the alarm. I believe that if its not a US import the French used 433 MHZ. If a US car that should be 318 MHZ.

I'd like to watch the video too since i've similar problems. That would be really helpful if the owner of the video shares the video again or changes its status.

I couldn't find the momentary contact switch in my car. That's why i thought the the video at post 1 might be useful to solve the problem. Does momentary contact switch exist in all xjs?

Does for the the 95 and 96. 1994? Maybe.

I thought the cars before the 95/96 model years have a more straight forward way to program remotes.

You have to provide the switch but the wires are there. I am the person who made the video.
