Default Quick change diff

Has anybody fitted a Quick Change diff to a XJS ( 1983 )
Want to ultimately use my XJS for Cruising, Drag Racing & Circuit Racing
Just starting on my XJS journey . A number of jobs do do before l can even get a RWC
Just planning ahead

Crawl under the car and look at the current diff in the IRS cage. I highly doubt you would have the room to get the cover off to change the gears, without cutting a big hole in the trunk bulkhead behind the cage.

Consider a high number diff, maybe 4.09, and use a T700 trans, or 5 speed. You will have acceleration and cruise RPM.

No swapping of diffs needed.

That was another of my thoughts . Convert to a 5 or even 6 speed gearbox [ Was on my list ]
