That car would make an awesome parts car. Cut away the rear and you have all parts exposed. Tank, fuel lines, axle, ... And then the rest of the car looks in good nick.

Yeah but he still wants $1500.00 not sure if that's to much or not? I know where I can by 2 complete cars for $1500.00. Both good bodies, 1 runnable the other engine blew a head gasket. now I wish I had a spare $1500.00

A lot depends on how good the engine and the interior are. There isn't a lot to choose from in Minnesota. In other states you can find parts cars for $750 plus shipping costs. I bought a 1976 XJS from Saint Louis in September and paid $1500 incl. shipping for an unsmashed car.

The cheapest RUNNING XJ-S I can pick up would set me about €5000 back... That is just running. In GB it would be a lot lower.

You could buy one in GB and have it shipped. In the U.S. we have uShip.com for that. Super simple. I have shipped two cars so far.
