Hi,
Does anyone know where's the inline fuse for the radio in a 1992 Jaguar XJS V12? I saw in another thread saying that it's under the ski-slope ashtray. I removed the ashtray but couldn't find any such fuse.
The radio does not turn on. The security light isn't lit either. Both fuses #7 and 6 for the radio power and radio memory are good.
Have you pulled the radio out?
It could be just hanging from the back of the radio.
Sometimes it's accessible with the side heater ducts removed.
If not you need to remove the entire ski slope.

Not yet. I've heard the radio in a '92 is held by rivets that need to be drilled out. I was hoping to identify the location of the fuse before taking that step.

I don't know about that, it's a Jaguar so anything is possible.
Don't you have a pop rivet gun?
That's one of the oldest tools in my shop.
