radio no power
If your vehicle has the same radio/cassette with 6 CD changer in the trunk as my 1993, the aerial operates from a power supply from the radio itself, so a radio failure will disable this too. These radios often fail due to problems in the power supply area, often the capacitors. To check if the radio is receiving power, you will have to pull it forward and check the power input. I had a similar problem about 5 yearsago and was unable to find anyone to fix the unit. With the low cost of new radios, the labor involved in troubleshooting isn't usually worth it. If you aren't worried about maintaining originality, you can find a unit to fit for less than $150. I couldn't find anything to run the CD changer in the trunk but the Sony MEX-N5300BT I fitted had an aerial output and a single CD slot and of course Bluetooth, phone connectivity etc. You need something to fit a single Din slot. The Sony unit has programmable lighting, so that you can adjust to suit the subdued lighting of the Jag.
