Default rear brake fluid leak 89 xjs

Have a rather noticeable brake fluid leak from the passenger side rear brake caliper but cannot seem to find a fluid hose where the brake fluid would be leaking from ?? The fluid seems to be coming from the small opening where the pads brake on the disc. I am looking at a parts catalogue and feel rather dumb !!
I have the car up on rear ramps but hope to acquire a 2 post lift soon so I can give my large and old body a break in working on this beautiful machine.. In the meantime, I'd like to fix the leak !!

Sounds to me like it's leaking from the piston seal.

The fluid lines are on the top of the caliper. If I were you I would pull the calipers and rebuild them problem solved forever.

Easiest way is to drop the whole rear cage, 8 bolts, 4 tailshaft bolts and handbrake cable and brake lines. It can be serviced in situ but it's much easier out of the car.

I was hoping not to have to rebuild them until I get the lift installed and was looking to see how I might get to the connection of the brake fluid feed line to the caliper to see if the fault is the connection. My wheel ramps only lift the rear end about 10 inches higher and it makes for a tight fit for me underneath with very little working room.... Might have to get the car lift sooner rather than later !!!!! Thanks for your input and response..... Any other suggestion... btw, I just bought a junked "parts car" almost duplicate vin ##. Will sell off some parts from it to pay for other "stuff"...Interior trashed but body in good shape...

don't lift it on ramps, use stands. the wheels need to droop down for clearance
