Default Rear Metal Brake Lines

Just rebuilding my IRS, Rebuilt the brakes and need to replace the metal pipes- Are the fittings metric or Imperial? Mine is a 92 4.0, They are metric on the front and the fittings I bought from Halfords fit fine but they dont on the rear.

Is there anywhere I can get imperial fittings from or is there something else I need to do? Tried SNG and British Parts but they dont sell them. Also need the R clips for the brake pad retaining pins, cant seem to find them anywhere either.

From splitter to caliper

Rubber hose - yes I do have a new one - (this isn't it)

this is the long pipe that goes from rubber hose to the splitter.

PPS - mine is not a facelift .... it is an 87

My rubber hose at the rear is M10x1.0, my metal fittings at the rear are M10x1.0 - I know I've used 3/8x24tpi on the car hence previous deleted comment - they're on my receipts ... need to locate my rear union (that shares single incomer to both calipers) and measure that but my metal pipes are M10 (bought from Jaguar while they were still available).

On pre facelifts, the splitter on the cage above the inboard brakes, and the pipe fittings on the caliper and the nipples are UNF. The flexible is metric.
FYI in case it is useful, the fixing bolts on the front calipers are metric fine thread.

Was about to confirm exactly that - what a complete bear - so the real answer is - "it depends" - and you cannot be sure what has been or is fitted so I'd make sure to order some of both types - now I know why I ordered the 3/8"x24 tpi - so my original deletion was premature - I'm in the process of assembling my subframe so this post has been a useful reminder to go check my 'stuff' ....

Greg’s first sentence aligns with what is on the rear of my 92 (vin 180034 built 06/91), except there is no splitter. In other words, the entire rear end assembly is UNF but not the flexible brake hose. I was told a 3/8 x 24 will screw into a female metric M10 x 1 but a metric M10 x 1 will not screw into a female 3/8 x 24.

PS. for others, I had my three (front plus rear) brake hoses made at DEETAG in London, Ontario. (see deetag.com).

The M10 arrived today and do not fit, so looks like it will be the 3/8 x24, I will get back on to my supplier and and see if I can swap them.

I see from your signature that our garages are looking very similar- although I am still looking for a good XJR
