Default Rear Quarter Windows and Convertible top

Just recently my rear quarter windows wont go down and my convertible top wont go down with the roof switch. It will come up fine by pressing the roof switch but i have to manually lower it down. As such the rear quarter windows are stuck up, can't test if they will roll up but i suspect they would.

anyone come across this weird behavior? Is it a fuse, relay, or what? Being the top will at least come up i don't think its one of those. I read some where that on the handbrake there are those two electrical plugs that might have something to do with it.

If the roof goes up but not down, then it's not the handbrake switch. If the windows don't go down either, then it almost definitely isn't the relays as it would mean that 3 relays have failed simultaneously.

My guess would be the hood switch itself that is gummed up. Just try swapping over with one of the window switches to verify.

Good luck

Paul
