Default rear suspension rebuild query ?

hi all,

i am in the process of fully rebuilding my refurbished rear cage setup on a 1989 V12 coupe,

i took lots and lots of pictures when dis-assembling, and i also have a Jaguar parts manual, and ROM book,

i however have a problem putting the dampers/springs back onto the lower wishbone

when i install the lower pivot pin, and tighten it up, it doesnt clamp all the components together tight , it leaves about an 1/8 of slack so the bolt can move left to right and the spacer collar is also loose, but the nuts have tightened down onto the pins collars , not allowing any more adjustment

is this correct ( i suspect not )

all components shown in the manuals have been fitted, and in the correct order, i have used spax shocks , but are the same as the ones removed

cheerz

Default RE: rear suspension rebuild query ?

all components present and correctly installed

the old one was, as can be seen quite a mess,

new bearings , bushes, shocks , pivot -pins and nuts etc etc all round, in fact, the only existing parts from the whole rear setup is the diff, wishbones , and hubs ( which have new bearins in them )
