Rear Suspension unit
I dropped the rear suspension on my 93 XJS yesterday to replace the e- brake. It wasn't to hard to get it down by myself, would help having a friend to help get it back up. I think a trans jack would be better than a floor jack.
Extra hands hlep, yes, but you can do it yourself if you have some heavy gauge utility wire.
Lift one side of the assumbly a couple inches and tie it off to the underbody with multiple wraps of utility wire. Lift the other side a few inches and tie it off as well. Go back to the other side and lift it a few inches higher, shorten your utility wire, and tie-off,....repeat, repeat, alternating sides. Soon enough you've "walked" the complete assembly into position
Cheers
