Default Rear wheel bearing problem

We had a local machine shop replace the rear bearings in 95 XJS. When everything was back on the car there is 1/2" or more wobble in the wheel.

We removed the wheel and the brake rotor is flat against the hub. We put the tire back on tightening the lug nuts in a star pattern a little at a time.

The wobble is still there. From reading this thread I think the machine shop didn't install the bearings correctly.

Short of pulling the wheel assembly and half shaft, taking them to the machine shop so they can see the wobble does anyone have suggestions?

Better trailer that car to another shop before the wheel comes off.
