Reinstallation of Injectorrail

Reinstallation of Injectorrail
Hi there!
I'm struggeling to fit the injector rail again. For some reason I can't get any more than 2 or 3 injectors in at once. All are connected to the rail. The rubber rings (seal rings) are on the pintel caps...
But I can't seem to fit them all at once. The hoses are warm (so they are easily moved) and are all the same length (except the front two).
Any tips? I was thinking it might be easier to put the rubber rings in first and maybe use a bit of liquid soap (tiny bits) around the pintle caps to slide in easier... But I don't want to force them in.
Has anyone else done this job and can give me a few tips?
Cheers
Damien

HAH, the fun is happening right now.
Silicone spray on the small rings fitted to the injectors, OR in the hole, matters not.
I slide ONE side in at a time, starting with #6, and when that side is seated enough to slip a couple of nuts on the holding plate/s, then the other side, same procedure.
#1 on both sides comes last.
I no longer do it that way. I install the injectors, all 12, then push the rail down into the hoses very carefully. Then bend and attach #1's. Still fiddly, but I find it easier.
A few snoots of nectar prior, also helps, haha.

i pushed the injector hoses down onto the installed injectors as described above
but as you have pre assembled it all i would go with the suggested left then right method leaving the fronts till last ,
good luck
and walk away if you frustrated , and come back to it later , as it will test you

Okay, as I am on diet at the moment, nectar aka beer or booze is banned but I guess some juice would do first Or for the hard people: milk!
I was thinking of doing it the way you said with fitting the injectors first, then pressing the rail on but that seemed more awkward
I'll try it with the "lube" Some silicon or WD40 (will burn well ) should help - at least I hope then Poxy 12 injectors. I always thought Jaguar should have kept the old two piece rail from early HE's... Would be an easier change

Silicone spray, or Silicone grease (plumbers supplier), NOT WD40.
If none of the above, smear with brake fluid, and I mean a SMEAR.
DIET, damn, lifes too short for that. Have a Red wine, aids digestion, and lubes the internals (yours) just fine.
BB is spot on, the amount of "walking away" will do wonders for the fitness, trust us. Once you have done it 10+ times it is soooooo simple, really.
I like the 6ltr set up. Compact injectors, with o/rings, and "clip in", pity they wont fit the 5.3.

Regarding the diet, well, I'm 28 and I've lost a good bit already... So I'm just trying to get rid of the last few pounds/kilos around my hips But doesn't harm to leave the sh*te away for a few weeks
