I am considering upgrading my exhaust system: The Driven Man - Jaguar - Exhaust - Specialty Auto Performance Parts & Accessories
Does anybody know what it entails to remove/replace the exhaust system such as dropping the suspension cage, or routing/hanging difficulties I may be unaware of before i seriously consider this?

 

Nothing fancy about our exhaust just choked out. That price is way outrageous for a exhaust system. A local exhaust shop should be able to build that complete system for $600 for stainless or $400 for alum.

No magic tricks to replacing the XJS exhaust compared to most any other car. It's not very pleasant work, though :-)

I agree with Brian on the price. I'd die before spending that much money on a system. I'm not sure if a local muffler shop...not in my area at least....would do a similar system for as low as $400 but, still, there's money to be saved here.

Ok thanks for the heads up! I thought about it and I think in the end I am just going to replace the one muffler with a hole and leave the rest be rather than swapping the whole system. Thanks. :-)
