Default Repair Manuals

Hello!

I am a new owner of a 1990 XJS 12V. It runs - but roughly. I downloaded "The Book" and have read it front to back and back to front but now need diagrams.

I have searched online for service manuals and get everything from free PDFs that are pretty weak to offers on eBay that come on CD-ROM.

How do I get info on replacing the fuel pump to the speakers?

I have already spent a considerable amount of money on dead ends.

Help!

I bought a copy of the ROM Repair Operations Manual. It costs around 100 bucks online. It is pretty well written better than the combined Haynes manual which I also have. You can download an electric and wiring manual supplement which is very good.

You need to download Electrical Guide publication S57_90.pdf.
Gus probably has it on his site.

I bought the original full XJS repair manual. Costed about €50... Brand new and all original. Boy is that a well written book.

Kirby's is good too, nm but I prefer emotionfree descriptions

The vintage of XJS has a free electrical diagram online.

I have all of the "real" manuals (green metal binders), which are hard to come by and quite expensive. I collected them over time. One is a bit mismatched, so I am actually missing the brakes section, but thats all. They have everything you could need.

The manuals have every wiring diagram if you need a picture of something, but its 87/88 so it may be a little different than your 90. As someone already said, the MY90 should be available free online.

I have only ever owned one Haynes manual, and it would be more useful in the bottom of a gerbil cage.
