I just bought 1993 XJS Convertible with a storage bin in the rear. I am trying to replace the speakers and one of the 2 in the rear is trapped behind the fuses and motor and I can not access it to remove it. Do I need to remove the fuse box etc. to get to it or is there another solution. Thanks!

 

I had a 92 with the storage bin and had the same issue. I think I undid the screws holding the storage bin in place and removed that - it's basically just an L-shaped fixture that bolts in to form the storage area. Might be quicker and easier than moving the motor for the convertible top. I was running new speaker wire and rca cables to the storage bin for a subwoofer at the time.
