Rear Speakers in XJS Convertible Cubby Storage
There are 2 rear speakers mounted in the 1991 XJS convertible cubby storage. One of my speakers near the convertible hydraulics has a protective cover on the backside of the speaker. The other rear speaker has no protective cover, perhaps due to prior work to replace carpet, which is actually missing from the bottom of my cubby storage. My question is, should both rear speakers in the cubby storage include protective covers on their backside? If yes, then where can I buy a protective cover for the rear speaker in the cubby storage area?

i remembered to check today and my car does have them on both speakers, so id say your missing one. as far as where to find one probably your best bet would be to find someone parting out a car or one at a junk yard. or e-bay. if you go to e-bay iv had success finding unusual parts by messaging sellers who seem to have a lot of used parts for a specific car even if the part im looking for is listed, if they have multiple similar cars they are parting out they may have the part your looking for.
