Default Rocker switch on steering column

Hi All. Just acquired my first XJS - a '93 convertible. There is a small rocker switch on the steering column, close to the ignition switch. I can find no reference anywhere in the manual for this switch. What is it, and what does it do?

Thanks.

Mark

Looks like you are NEW, ha, WELCOME to the "real world of motoring", there is NO going back, trust me/us.

NICE choice of Jaguar.

That switch sounds afterrmarket, and may have been for a "kill device", or similar from the previous owner????.

The only way would be to remove that switch, or the column casing to get at it, and see if it is actually wired, and if so, trace them to the device being controlled.
