xj40 diff in older cars
There are a couple of XJS race cars here in Aus that run 3.54 gears on a 2.88 hemisphere with a spacer, neither of these cars has broken a diff.
I was originally going to do this but lucked on a 3.58 LSD from an XJ40.
If you do use a spacer then it needs to be machined correctly with an interface fit on the hemisphere.

Was the 3.58 xj40 diff an easy swap into the XJS subframe?
