Default Shift cable problem

Do I need to replace the cable or is this “repairable” ? The actual cable is still intact. I am guessing I have to remove the cable either way?

Looks like it needs to be re-crimped. I'd say "repairable"...although I have no experience doing so.

Cheers

Makes sense - I guess I have nothing to lose by attempting a re-crimp. I’ve read you can remove carpet and get to an access?
