mr.fixit1,

nice whip, man. Bet that looks sharp as HELL at dusk. Go look and see. Better yet; take more pics and report back. How about some interior shots??

[edit] reminds me of petrolblau (petroleum blue) - a colour they used on 80s Porsches - particularly the whale tail 911s and 928s. Never seen a 944 in that shade.

What is the official paint code / name?

Hi,

No it is Arctic Blue Metallic inside is creme...

I really prefer the coupé over the convert as those buttresses are great pieces that give the car it's uniqueness

Hey "Daim"...I couldn't agree with you more!
The E-type was a success as a drop-top (original design). All the standard fixed heads were out of proportion.
The XJS is stunningly unique as a fixed-head. The convertibles are too average looking.
I have a drop-top and from most angles it reminds me way too much of the Alfa Spider I used to have. Now that is sad.
In fact, I think I have just decided to sell or exchange my cab for a coupe. Its the aesthetic way to go.
Daim, you are a true appreciator of art.

"The convertibles are too average looking."
I too like the buttresses, but from the comments and complements that I get, average looking isn't even close.

These days... it is the Bonnet... (engine cover) that stands out the most

look around... everything has a SHORT bonnet from the wind screen to the front bumper...

most comment I get are that is my dream car... and that hood (I am in the states) is "so long"

I have to pop it open and let them see the V12... a lot of them ask (choke choke...) is that a V10 (ugh... VIPERS) no one seems to have any V12 conciseness, except for the mid engine lamb-bo's and the odd old Ferrari

Thanks Dabs, That is the original 1990 Regency Red metallic
It looks great in most lighting, best at dusk
These are the best cars to cruise in, they get more looks than a much more expensive car.
Often when returning to the car in a parking lot, there will be people taking pictures of it lol. If they new I had only about $5000 in it
