yesterday I had one of my follow up appointments at the Lincoln VA Medical Center. Since it was a nice day I decided to take the Jag XJS, and it did very well on gas to my surprise since the car is originally rated at 17 mpg highway. 144 miles round trip, 60 to 65 mph, and an instant fuel reading on the computer, 20 to 24 mpg with an avg of 24.5 mpg. Oh and all went well at the appointment

 

Wow. I was already happy when mine did 17.2 mpg average.

 

That's pretty good for the V-12.

I took my 1996 with the 4.0 on several Chicago -> Lake Geneva trips this summer and got 32 mpg with the top up and the AC on or 30 mpg with the top down.
