I've just purchased a 96 Jaguar XJS and the drivers side seat belt locking and release mechanism doesn't latch. I was advised by the dealer that this part is no longer available.

Does anyone have one they might sell or know of a source?

I think you will find that only certain colors are unavailable. My car uses "coffee" seatbelts even though the trim is "cream" but Coffee isn't available. Oatmeal is beige and bland enough for example, and HHE7005AAAGD is LH (us drivers side) in Oatmeal.

If you ever can't find something, try looking up part numbers on www.classicjaguarparts.com using the "British Flag" country link. If the part has a price, then it is probably available in US from the dealer or www.jaguarparts.com (which is the website of a dealership). For more common parts, www.sngbarratt.com They can order anything too.
