Stalling out after hot start.
I test drove a local '92 XJS V12 convertible today. It drove great until I was attempting to restart after parking it for a while, then it kept stalling when I would put it into gear. Gauges looked ok and no idiot lights came on.
Eventually it would run again after giving it a few minutes and a few restarts, and worked fine once up to speed. The owner feigned ignorance of any issue when I got it back to him. If I decide to pursue the car further and have a mechanical inspection, is there anything specific I should have the mechanic look at, other than telling him it stalled when hot. It was a pretty hot day today in atlanta; the AC did work great when it was running.
TIA.

Could be vapor lock. I think this happens either in the fuel rails, or in the charcoal-filled canister close to the gas tank.
It's been a while since I read about this, but it seems to be a fairly common problem come mid-summer.
