I have a 1992 XJS V12. I need a starter for it. The problem is there are 2 starters listed for the engine. The one is a permanent magnet and the other is a direct drive. The cost between the 2 are 200 and 100 dollars respectively. No one can tell me which one I need or can use. I ask you, my fellow XJS owners and experts, which one do I need? HELP! This is the only thing holding me up on the restoration of the vehicle.
