Default steering wheel adaptor

Hi everyone. Just tried to install brand new wood/leather steering wheel in my XJS 95 convertible but have met the problem. The new wheel i've got is made for European/UK market and doesn't fit for my US market car so it seems like i need to get and change steering wheel adaptor (JLM12391 86 teeth) that absolutely impossible to find. Any suggestions about where to get one? Also how can I extract existing adaptor from steering column to try to reproduce it in size i need?
Thanks to all.

Just check that there isn't already an adapter in the wheel you took off. I thought i had the same problem then found that there was a small adapter spline inside the old airbag steering wheel.

reedreed,

I have sent you a couple of PMs over the past few weeks to see if you're interested in swapping your adapter for the one that you need which I have. I don't know if you've seen these?

When l changed mine over I found the adapter was used in the XJ40.

But I'm guessing as they haven't replied they've found it.

malc4d,

Have you still got your US adapter?

Paul, mine didn't have the adapter. I fitted a Myrtle wood steering wheel with airbag and had to get the adapter to make it fit. I believe it came from an XJ 40.
