Default SUPERCHARGED XJS for Sale! Convertible AND Coupe

Jaguar : XJS XJS in Jaguar | eBay Motors

No affiliation whatsoever, I just happened to stumble across this.

Apparently it is possible to get the supercharged engine in the XJS. This guy is selling one coupe and two convertibles!

$20K each.

In my case it just seems to have "stuck".

I still have a pair of Wallabees in my closest, too. Maybe I just have a hard time letting go?

Cheers

Well, he did include +/- (accel/decel) buttons on the thumb area of the shifter to work just like the shifter paddles do in some new cars.

In fact, I really like the J-gate shifter on my XJR because it makes it very easy to shift without looking. This guy's idea improves on the J-gate convenience by placing even more convenient push buttons to work like the paddles would in a new Aston.

I used to think that it was "fun", but after driving much stop and go traffic in the LA freeways it got old very quick. The best for me is my XJR's great J-gate; it's so easy to up or down shift only by feel. However, forget about doing that with the XJS shifter, jeez... if there's one complaint I'd have about the XJS is that pathetic and totally awkward shifter. You need to look at it after shifting to make sure that you landed where you wanted.

In fact, I could never understand why Jaguar, with so many upgrades in the facelift car, didn't take advantage of the design that was already there, in use, on the XJ40/X300 to bless the XJS with. If I knew how to do it (or first, if it is possible), I'd love to have a J-gate on my XJS, even if I have to re-design (again) my ski slope.

Cheers

And why on earth did they not install the XJR outfit which would bolt pretty much straight in? Even if it would outperform the v12. I have in fact thought about it many times.

after listing them as classified ads, the seller put the three up as auctions.

the coupe appears to have sold--at a price not too far off what he wanted (in his second, lowered price). that guy really mustve wanted it. and it seems like real bidders.

the two convertibles didn't get much past what a "standard" conv would go for, and didn't hit reserve.

HA! My favorite line from the listing "creates a torque curve as flat as a Yoko Ono Christmas album"
